    Job Description & Qualifications

    Job Summary

    Responsible for facilitating the adoption of HD Supply product solutions and identifying/driving expansion opportunities via high value relationship with the client. Work with Field Sales to develop long-term partnerships with clients to ensure they are realizing the full value of their investment and executing contract renewal. Serve as liaison between clients and HD Supply’s internal operations by identifying product expansion/up-sell opportunities.

     

    Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

    • Partners with Field Sales to develop successful account strategies and plans that direct company resources and maximize retention and sales with assigned accounts.

    • Educates customers on the value of the overall solution and encourages optimal utilization.
    • Presents our employer value proposition as well as product features and functions to all clients.
    • Facilitates relationships across various teams and departments to strengthen partnerships with our customers.
    • Positions our value proposition as part of our overall business solution, linking benefits back to key business issues of the client.
    • Develops and maintains effective relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and retention while helping to grow our incremental revenue.
    • Guides client through significant service milestones per established agreements.
    • Serves as a point of escalation for clients critical issues.

    Nature and Scope

    • Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
    • Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior co worker or supervisor.

     Work Environment

    • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
    • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
    • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

     Education and Experience

    • HS Diploma or GED, strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally 2 - 5 years of experience in area of responsibility.

    • 1-2 years client-facing experience in a customer care and/or sales support environment.

    • Familiarity with customer support technical architectures and operating systems.
    • Distribution industry experience preferred.
