    Job Description & Qualifications

    Job Summary

     

    Responsible for leading the strategy, creation, development, deployment, and maintenance of marketing campaigns and initiatives that drive incremental value. Works collaboratively with leadership, internal partners, and external resources to effectively drive significant growth.

     

    Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

    • Establishes the strategic and operating plans to dramatically drive profitable growth across all of the business unit’s key verticals. Key areas of focus are product marketing, omni-channel marketing, vertical/field marketing, and campaign management.
    • Develops and successfully manages short and long-term incremental revenue and margin targets across all focus areas and verticals.
    • Sets strategy, develops, and executes marketing programs, including eCRM, search engine marketing/optimization, targeted display, direct mail, social media, sales aids, and customer promotions that drive profitable growth.
    • Creates and tests new initiatives while optimizing existing programs to continually drive for higher performance.
    • Develops and manages the content strategy to project HD Supply’s thought leadership across all key verticals and personas.
    • Manages relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the overall marketing process supports business goals.
    • Effectively works cross-functionally to ensure the matrix team is aligned and collectively driving dramatic growth.
    • Manages budgeting, P&L, and ROI. Continually drives effectiveness and efficiency across all focus areas.
    • Manages the performance of associates and recognizes, trains, coaches, counsels, and takes corrective action when warranted.

    Nature and Scope

    • Problems are typically defined by higher level leadership. Problems are difficult. Solutions require analysis and investigation.
    • Decides how to achieve planned results within an organization's plans, policies, and guidelines. May set or change plans/goals within respective department or area.
    • May manage department via multiple layers of managers OR directly supervise a staff of professional ICs at the senior or technical advisor level.

    Work Environment

    • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
    • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
    • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

    Education and Experience

    • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 9+ years of experience in a related field including several years in a management/supervisory capacity.

    • 10+ years of marketing experience
    • MBA in marketing
    • Extensive expertise in the areas of omni-channel marketing, B2B, product marketing, and field marketing
    • Prior agency experience preferred
