    Job Description & Qualifications

    Job Summary

    Responsible for maintaining existing contracts and developing new contracts to serve as procurement vehicles for end users. Partner with Sales Team to develop contracts for increased business opportunities. Administer new and renewal contract activities associated with proposals, negotiations, contract administration and contract compliance. Offer solutions to mitigate contractual/program risks.


    Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

    •  Works closely with business partners on all assigned contract negotiations. Ensures completed proposals and quotations are completed in accordance with legal and business standards and submitted in a timely fashion.
    •  Acts as the focal point of contact with the customer for all contractual matters and understands how terms and conditions affect prices and schedules.
    • Participates in the contract implementation process and ensures that special contract terms are communicated to all affected departments.
    • Prepares formal correspondence between business and National Account Customers as well as coordinating fees and payments per contractual requirements.
    •  Develops and presents contract component strategies, advises proposal coordinators, management and others of special contract requirements or risks.
    • Analyzes and reviews contract requests for proposals (RFP), requests for quotations (RFQ), requests for information (RFI) and other types of solicitations.
    •  Partners with Legal as appropriate on contractual agreements or disclosure requirements.
    •  Supervises and allocates the workload among Contract Administrators and Contract Specialists.

    • Experience provides solutions.
    • Ensure that work is performed consistently with HD Supply policies and procedures.
    • Leads a group or team of support, craft, or lower level professional associates.

    Work Environment


    • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
    • Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes or odors.
    • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

    Education and Experience


    • Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 7+ years experience in related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.















    Preferred Qualifications & Job Specific Details

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in contract administration specially related to assigned industry. Strong working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), procurement policies, and other Federal/State local regulations.
    • Experience within core industries of Multi-Family, Hospitality, Government, or Healthcare preferred.
    • BS/BA and/or Paralegal certificate required.

    • 7+ years related experience.
    • 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
    • Experience in SalesForce.com or similar CRM.
    • Proficiency in data management and MS Excel is required.
    • SOP creation and continued maintenance.
    • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), procurement policies, and other Federal/State local regulations is a plus.
    • Experience within core industries of Multi-Family, Hospitality, Government, or Healthcare preferred.
