Job Description & Qualifications

Job Summary

Responsible for the design, development, competitive analysis, and financial analysis of pricing matrices and products for assigned line of business.

 

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement tactical pricing to support sales and revenue objectives while ensuring alignment with market and sales trends.
  • Direct strategic and operational price planning and financial implications.
  • Design methodologies and approaches for pricing and market access based on product files.
  • Oversee the development of appropriate evaluation measures for departmental processes and procedures.

Nature and Scope 

  • Solutions require analysis and investigation.
  • Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.
  • Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.

Work Environment 

  • Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
  • Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes or odors.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Must be eighteen years of age
  • Must pass the Drug Test
  • Must pass the Background Check
  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

Education and Experience 

  • Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 7+ years experience in related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Operations, Statistics or related field required; Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years work experience; Relevant pricing experience in a B2B / B2C setting desired.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word; Experience with Hadoop, Python, R, SAS, SQL, Tableau (or related tools) preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to accumulate, evaluate and generate insights from large and disparate data sources.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively articulate insights and create convincing executive level presentations.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands and work productively under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to build relationships and partner with cross-functional teams at all levels across the organization and influence decision making without authority.
  • Track record of taking ownership and driving results; Ability to learn quickly and work independently; Inherent intellectual curiosity.
