Provide IBM Websphere Commerce solution design, architecture and hands-on coding. Contribute in one or more highly specialized phases of applications programming. Provide design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy. Provide expertise regarding the integration of applications across the business. Define, design, and oversee the systems and applications architecture for both current and future business applications. Evaluate new and emerging technologies and developmental methodologies to find faster, cost effective, and more reliable solutions for existing and proposed systems. Partner with infrastructure, application, and quality teams to ensure that applications meet business requirements, are well documented, and have processes in place for ongoing support and maintenance. Scope and implement appropriate process improvement tools and techniques such as Six Sigma, Lean Sigma, and ITIL. Drive standard and efficient applications and infrastructure design by aligning the infrastructure roadmap with the application technology strategy, hardware vendor roadmaps, and service capabilities. Apply judgment in implementing Application Engineering methodologies, processes, and practices to specific requirements of projects/programs which may include product design engineering, information security, code maintainability, and reliability.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field of study (will accept 3 or 4 year Bachelor’s degree) and five (5) years experience in the job offered or in related field; or a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in related field. Demonstrated experience must include: development and solution design & architecture with J2EE and the WebSphere Commerce suite of products including WebSphere Commerce Server and WebSphere Application Server; WC commands, EJBs, JSPs, Servlets, JDBC, JNDI, ANT, and JSTL; messaging oriented middleware including MQ Series and JMS; XML, UML and Web Services; Struts and Spring Application Frameworks; SQL design and development including stored procedures, triggers, and packages; Data Access objects and Hibernate Object to Relational Data mapping; performance tuning and monitoring WebSphere Commerce environments.
